Aug. 8, 2014 : My husband and I found this quaint establishment by accident. We couldn't have been more pleased. We were warmly greeted by the desk clerk. The house is just beautiful. Exquisite art work. The rooms are eloquently decorated and extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are quite small, but efficient ... They have a kitchen area on the second floor with a balcony that you can enjoy while getting a bite to eat. They offer soda, water, juice and coffee along with snacks throughout the day. The continental breakfast was adequate. A couple blocks away is an all you can eat breakfast for $9.99 is you are looking for something more. We were just a few blocks away from all the action on Bourbon Street, plus right across the street was a very popular piano bar. We definitely returning in January with some other friends. I can't thank the staff At Lafitte enough for their kind hospitality.
May. 22, 2014 : I just realized that I forgot to sign your Guest book! Let me start by saying that your staff was the most friendly and accommodating I have ever experienced. The house was beautiful and serene and if anyone wants to experience a REAL New Orleans house, this is the place. I loved the art throughout the place, our room we stayed in and the courtyard where we all gathered with other weekend residents and had a great time. I am already planning my next trip to New Orleans and I will definitely be booking with you again.
Dec. 5, 2013 : Room 5 was super cute... Location was Great for doing touristy things, but not too close. It was nice and quiet in the courtyard in the evening hours. Clean rooms, artsy public spaces and nice staff made for a wonderful vacation. Thanks!
Jan. 27, 2013 : Lafitte Guest House is my favorite boutique hotel in the French Quarter. Under new ownership and completely remodeled, it is located at the residential end of Bourbon, across from Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop. Lafitte Guest House is the place to stay with easy walking to all of the highlights within the Quarter and the great jazz music on Frenchmen Street. They offer Bourbon Street balcony access to all of their guests right off the full kitchen on the second floor. The hotel is clean, quiet, with friendly staff who answer all of your questions and offer great recommendations of places to eat and things to do. They can easily make tour and dining reservations for you to ensure you enjoy your visit to the city. I can not say enough great things about Lafitte Guest House and their wonderful staff!
